Resource Library

The Resource Centre is the hub of the Prostate Cancer Centre. It is user-friendly, providing information in a variety of formats. A computer is available for those wishing to access prostate health related websites. Patients, their families and health professionals are welcome to visit the Centre's Resource Centre for current information from around the world . Our key resource is our volunteers - men who have had prostate cancer, their spouses and other committed individuals who offer supportive listening and an experienced perspective. The volunteers help people access information from brochures, books, journals, videos, CDs, media articles, and selected Internet sites that have been approved by the Medical Advisory Board. Visitors are encouraged to gather the information while at the Resource Centre and are welcome to borrow materials from the lending library.

Volunteers who've experienced prostate disease provide visitors supportive, informed and compassionate listening. They help men and their family’s access information and services available both through the Prostate Cancer Centre and elsewhere.

The books, videos, journals and pamphlets focus on the disease, treatment and global research. The materials are regularly reviewed and approved by our Medical Advisory Board. Print and A/V material are available on a 3 week loan.
